The APS-360 Starch Mixing System

The APS-360 System combines the best of both worlds by offering an economical base start-up system with built-in flexibility to upgrade as your plant needs change over time. You get the same reliable high quality state-of-the art starch equipment, but at an attractive, start-up price. The APS-360 has been developed to work with new or existing silos, storage tanks, and other adhesive related devices. It has been designed for simplicity and is yet ruggedly constructed.

The APS-360 is available as a Fully-Automatic or Semi-Automatic system. Operator time is very limited with the Semi-Automatic System, the operator pre-charges the borax, initiates each batch, and then inspects the ³finished batch². The system controls all batch steps and then alerts the plant for "batch inspection".

The base system features:

• 400 gallon (1,500 liters) stainless steel high shear mixer
• Allen-Bradley PLC and panelview
• Pre-assembly of main mixing components
• Pre-piping for water, steam, and caustic
• Pre-wiring of starch mixing components (valves, load cells, etc.) to the control panel

As your plants needs grow over time, the Semi-automatic system can be upgraded to Fully-Automatic after the initial start up. The Fully-Automatic System eliminates any operator involvement, as it replenishes the storage tanks based on probes. Operator tasks are limited to simple daily cleaning and house keeping.
